This the story of a heart
maybe so tender and vulnerable
it was meant to freeze
it was meant to freeze
Hear that Anthia's cry
oncoming from the Antartic era
the resonant announcement
of a departure
ad libitum all set and staged
ad libitum as for a theater act
with a watery decorum
and a non-played soundtrack
The main character is on the race
he's not hunting
he's only running
the no-end space
the no-end space
he can't run faster
than his guilt, than his grief
the pills he took
he swallowed quick
suspend his feet
suspend his feet
that turned into
ice skates
sliding on a glossy paper photograph
melting in his burning tears
the last tears before an all dried epitaph
An icy and resonant announcement
of a departure
ad libitum
all set and staged
as for a theater act
with a watery decorum
and a non-played soundtrack

Imagine that Captain Beefheart disbanded the Magic Band straight after Trout Mask Replica and then slipped off into the desert. By some freak of nature that I can’t explain, he returns to 2021 having magically transformed into a French woman. In this new guise she captures a band of improvising musicians and imprisons them in a recording studio. They will not be released until total weirdness has been achieved. And they succeed. Fast and bulbous indeed. John Coldwell
Tasmanian guitarist Julius Schwing embraces the visceral sounds of finger playing, incorporating them into his experimental guitar work. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 8, 2022
